Demand Products backer rod is also available in a variety of other shapes and diameters including cylindrical rods, half rounds, quarter rounds, trap rods, tri rods, sheets and rolls.
Backer rods are primarily used in expansion and contraction joints and are used to limit the depth of the sealant, help the sealant assume an optimum hourglass shape factor to prolong sealant life, and serve as a bond breaker to prevent bottom-side adhesion of the sealant.
In addition, we offer several specialty backer rods for use in fillet joints and shallow joint reservoirs. Demand Products backer rods are commonly used in joints for curtain wall partitions, bridge and highway construction, parking decks, pre-cast assemblies, glazing applications, and panel systems.

Warranty Info
Return Policy
No merchandise can be returned without an authorization number. We do not accept returns on chemicals or coatings. Returns must be made within 15 days of invoice and must be in new condition. Materials returned must be shipped prepaid. Discontinued items, custom orders or items that have been out of our factory for 3 months or longer cannot be returned. Returns subject to minimum 15% restocking fee.
Warranty
All of our products carry an unconditional 6-month guarantee, but Demand must be notified within 48 hours of receipt of defective or damaged merchandise or shortages. Defective products will either be replaced or repaired at no charge. Abused tools will be repaired and returned only if the customer consents to charges in writing.
